🐇 Does Tesla Have Fm Radio
Alex_FC419 said: Well folks, I just spoke with a Tesla Representative concerning SirrusXM. I was informed that they have no plans to include the software. They want you to use Slacker Radio for $9.99 monthly which is included in the model 3. Of course, they are not interested in what the customer wants.
So in short, technically, yes - there is a tuner built in. But also no, in the sense that you won't ever be able to actually use it, based on hardware limitations. No app will get around it, nor would changing the ROM, kernel, or any other bit of software on the device. 5. magpiesgold.

I'd love to be able to listen to high quality Australian Broadcasting Corporation radio in my Tesla. The AM radio reception is surprisingly poor--I guess that's what happens with inbuilt aerials. I expected a digital radio but am I right in saying that only the FM band is digital in the Tesla
You can not get it with the all glass roof. Also if you just like commercial free music (why I have XM in my cars) the streaming radio built into the Tesla is great. No commercials and even cuts out the DJ chatter you get on XM. There is also no trial like in most cars because XM doesn’t really partner with Tesla.
Tesla offers a number of streaming services, which vary depending on what region the car was sold. In some earlier vehicles, it may also depend on the options purchased. (updated Dec-2022) Apple Music – This was added with the December 2022 software release (2022.48.25). Tests indicate that it is encoded using the HE-AAC codec at 64 kbps.

May 1, 2020. #10. TuneIn provides access to some of the AM/FM stations, with program blackouts when live sports are broadcast (which isn't a problem during the current crisis). TuneIn Premium would provide more access, but isn't supported on Tesla.
